Video Wednesday: German cowboys do Nelly

April 1, 2008

I have not been in the mood to work on the blog at all this week. Sorry bout that, but I guess every blogger goes through that occasionally.  Not much to report, but here goes:

I think Oliver is getting close to saying his first word.  He says, “Mamam mamamam,” a lot.

4 Nights in Munich

March 20, 2008

Last week we had a blast in Munich.  I thought we had good restaurants in Regensburg, but the ones in Munich blow them away.  We had really great sushi at Tokami on Theresienstrasse.  We enjoyed one of the best Arabic meals I’ve ever had with Schokolade Mädchen and her man, G, at the Lebanese restaurant Cedar Lounge on Georgenstrasse.  [...]

A Kaffee und Kuchen Extravaganza!

I made it, 5 out of 5 cakes completed, and only 1 hour after the party started! LOL!

Thanksgiving, Expat style

November 25, 2007

Our Thanksgiving party was a roaring success.  We had 24 guests, pretty evenly split between German speakers and English speakers.  Charlie was a hit with the kids and surprisingly well-behaved.  I’m not worried at all anymore about him interacting with Oliver when Oliver’s a little older.

There were several expat bloggers in attendance, all of whom [...]

A passel o’ new friends

November 5, 2007

I think it’s fair to say that last night’s Regensburg expat dinner was a roaring success. The evening went from 5pm-10pm, and included laughter and a few tears, good conversation and discussions of gall bladder removal, and the making of some great new friends.
There was Deborah and Luca (Deborah is going to teach me how [...]
