That’s what I’ve been for the past week. The worst cold ever became bronchitis, and now that I’m on antibiotics, I think there was just a touch of sinus infection in there too. I finish antibiotics tomorrow evening and will hopefully make a speedy full recovery back to health, because this is now three weeks of feeling pretty rotten and let me tell you, it sucks. So, I have not, nor will I any time this weekend, be up to baking Zweibelkuchen (onion cake). I’m going to have to push the Real German Cuisine Challenge back a week (at least, hopefully not more!).
Plus, a couple of people have asked my opinion about the swine flu vaccine… I plan to write something eventually, but short answer: vaccines are good, get them. My doctor has me on a list to call for when it becomes available (and when I am healthy enough to get it). The last thing I want is a bout of swine flu after this!

Vaccines, in general, are good, but every person needs to make an educated decision about what is best or right for him/her/the family.

Hope you’re feeling yourself soon!! Let me tell you, 3 of us (out of 4) in our family had H1N1 this week, and it was awful!!! The virus is here in Regensburg and in our schools. I would not wish this on anyone and hope you all stay healthy… it’s a nasty virus! Here’s to your health!
Get well soon… Sinus infections can be killer. Two years ago, I had what you had: bronchitis, sinus infection, etc… plus I had a 2 year old, a four-month-old, and my sister-in-law’s family visiting. I couldn’t enjoy their visit at all. It was the worst cold ever. I’m on the list for the H1N1 vaccine, too. When will they call????

Thanks, everyone. Bronchitis is gone now that I’ve finished the antibiotics, but this darn cold is still hanging on. Grrr!

Christine (and everybody else affected), I hope you’re well again! After taking antibiotics it’s a good idea to eat plenty of natural yogurt for some time. This spruces your digestive system up again.

Today I heard that lots of people buy antibacterial hand sanitizers to fend of the swine flu. H1N1 is a virus. Is like going hunting with a fishing rod. LOL.
