May 17-23, 2009
I was pretty busy this week and hadn’t snapped any photos, until yesterday when the new wide angle lens for my trusty, old, Canon Powershot A95 arrived (I decided to go this route instead of purchasing a DSLR, maybe I can upgrade to one of those in a couple years).
Altdorfer Platz
Regensburg’s St. Peter’s Cathedral
Ducks in a row
Stone Bridge, Regensburg
Oliver picking wildflowers
Taking the long and winding road
A boy and his dog
Leaping Charlie
Laughing at sunset
Finally, this photo wasn’t taken this week, it was taken exactly six years ago today, on a beautiful, sunny day in the gardens of Berlin’s Schloss Charlottenburg.
Happy Anniversary, honey!

@merrymishaps: Too bad they aren’t my ducks! LOL!
@laura: He’s a Bernese Mountain Dog.
@Tara, Smoochiefrog & rita: Thanks!
Nice pictures– I would be glad to contribute to your DSLR fund, they are much better for capturing moving kids and dogs, especially in low light!

Thanks, everyone!
@geoff: Don’t tempt me, I just bought a new lens for this camera! I know a DSLR is much better, but I still feel a little intimidated by them. Maybe next time we meet you can show me how to use yours and I’ll feel more comfortable. And if you do want to contribute to my fund, you can just click on an ad every time you visit
They are all great photos…but I love the one of Charlie jumping. I instinctively moved to get out of his way!

@mominin, Corina and Jeanette: Thanks!
@Alice: Thanks! I just found out you could get the lenses a couple months ago and I’ve had this camera for almost as long as I’ve been in Germany. I finally read the instruction manual all the way through and it had a section on how to attach the additional lenses. There’s two more, a telephoto and a macro, but I think I’m good with the macro for now.
Oops, I mean wide angle, not macro, in that last sentence!
I love the one of your boy in the sunset!! and the ducks … the field of flowers … great shots, nice work!
