There are two upcoming events for expats and/or English speakers in or willing to travel to the Regensburg area.
The first is being organized by a new American expat in the area, who just moved here from Stuttgart, Autumn. She’s hosting a Books & Bagels meetup on Friday, January 16th at 10 a.m. in Kona Coffee Garden located at St. Kassiansplatz 6. Bring along some English language books to swap, I’ll be there with a nice, large stack! For more information, email Autumn at autumndawnediger [at] gmx [dot] de.
The second is the January Regensburg Expat Dinner, which will be at Latino, Galgenbergstraße 2-4 near the Regensburg Arkaden, on January 25th from 5pm on. Germans and expats, friends, spouses and kids are all welcome. You can RSVP here or on the Evite invitation. Remember to leave your email address in case there are any last minute changes.
Hope to see you at one or both of the events. And remember to cast your daily vote in the Weblog Awards Best European Blog poll. I think it’s pretty clear who first and second place will be, but it’d be great if you all could keep me in third. Being voted the third best blog in Europe would still be pretty awesome and quite an honor.

Nice blog! I’m always on the lookout for fellow Ami bloggers overseas. I’ll stop by now and then.

Hey there! I’m going to try to make it on Friday! I haven’t been to one of these meet-ups yet, so I’m hoping I can make it! I’ve got plenty of books to share too! Can’t wait!

We have finally made the jump and are living in Regensburg. We’ve been here a week, and though I am slowly going crazy (since my main social outlet has been facebook, my 3 and 6 year olds and the friendly people on the bus) – I am excited to meet up with other expats. Hoping to join you on the 25th! (I’ve frequented your blog since last January – it’s amazing to see it’s progression – congrats on 3rd place, BTW).
Thanks, Ann! Look forward to meeting you on Sunday!
