This week I made a super delicious Cheesy Beer Dip to bring to a neighbor’s holiday party. It was extremely well-received and my husband deemed it Germanized fondue.

Some of that beer cheese dip, our boys playing together, while we sit across from each other eating-drinking-laughing. I could look at you all day! <3

Hi Christina!
I’d like to try your Cheesy Beer Dip recipe, but just wanted to make sure – can I use Blau Schimmel Käse for the Blue Cheese – I assume it’s the same thing?
Thanks for your help!
And, thank you for your blog!
Hi Migraine Meister, any kind of blue cheese would work fine. Blau Schimmel Käse is fine. Let me know how it goes, and thanks for reading
Christina, the beer cheese dip was delicious – my German husband was totally “begeistert”! I expected a sweet flavor for some reason and was surprised by the super salty flavor. My husband expected Fondue but said the flavor was much more original. The smell I thought was “western”, but I think that is because it reminded me of my step-grandfather’s house with his 3rd wife, who had a thing for Aztec decor.
I’ll definitely be trying this out at the next get-together – we could only finish half of it as our “dinner”.
Thank you!
Glad you guys liked it! People at the party I brought it to couldn’t stop eating it.
