I’m feeling completely wiped out today, no idea what’s going on. Seriously, I’ve been getting enough sleep, but while driving back from town today, I was considering stopping halfway for a coffee because I was so tired. Needless to say, this is putting a big damper on getting back in the blogging saddle, but there are a few quick things I want to say.
First, I was in town today to see Tammy, Matthias and meet Tammy’s mom and new baby Claire (born Sunday). Claire is incredibly beautiful and very, very tiny. It’s hard to believe Oliver was once that size.
I had lunch with the girls afterwards and got a bit caught up on what everyone’s been up to, but had to run off to a doctor’s appointment with Oliver. Unfortunately, it seems that Oliver will need an operation. I’m very worried about such a little guy getting full anesthesia and going under the knife. It’s a common procedure and the doctors don’t consider it a big deal, but I think every parent would disagree. We’ve got a meeting with the surgeon at the end of October and will probably plan on the surgery when we’re back from the US in December. Argh.
The little man also got his last MMR (plus chicken pox) vaccine today. Last time he was really sick for two days afterwards (so sick, feverish, and cranky that we took him in to the doc who was very unimpressed). Hopefully this time won’t be so bad, but if you don’t hear from me for a while, it’s cause I’m cradling a crying baby.
If I do have time, I’ll be putting up our vacation photos on FlickR and blogging about our trip (was awesome). Later!

Oh no! I won’t say not to worry – you probably can’t help it. At least the doctor seems to think it’s not too serious.

Good luck with the operation– I am sure he will be fine!

Oh, poor thing! Is he feeling better now? Where did you go on vaca?
Thanks guys. Oliver didn’t react at all to his latest immunization, so I am a very relieved mama.
@NWY: We went to Riva del Garda, Italy, and Pula, Croatia. Was awesome.
