Ask and ye shall receive

Everyone else is doing it (or at least B. and Blythe), so I figured, hey, why not jump on that bandwagon.  Ask a question, any question, and I will do my best to answer it.

Based on your thoughts currently—As Oliver grows up, what do you think will be the main benefit/advantage for him in growing up in Germany that he would not receive if he were growing up in the US?
Besides the German language skills! :-)

What is the best part about living in Germany?
    What is the hardest?

-What was your favorite subject in seventh grade?
-As the daughter of a restrauteur, what irritates you most when dining out?
-Where would you live if you could live anywhere?

Can you see yourself living forever in Germany?

Wow, some really good questions so far! Keep em coming! I’ll make a post with answers this weekend - or maybe I’ll keep this open and answer on Monday - we’ll see. Now I’m off to have barbecue chicken pizza and Key Lime cheesecake at An’s! YUM!

I will kind of ask you the same thing I asked Blythe. Other than compatibility with both languages, what led you to choose Oliver’s name, and what other names did you consider? What would his name have been if he’d been a girl?

1.What’s your favorite Pearl Jam song?
    2. Say Lost was real and you were stranded with the other survivors of Oceanic flight 815- who would you choose to father your babies?
    3. Would you rather spend the day with Trent Reznor, 50 cent or Kiley Minogue?
    4. What’s a classic book you’ve never read but plan to get around to one day?

I’ll follow B.’s line of questioning, what books have influenced you throughout your life, even back into childhood?

    This is a great idea!

What is your idea of a perfect day?

After reading your biography on your “About Me” page, I realize that you have already lived in several places. Do you think that Regensburg is the final destination and if yes, what makes it feel right to stick around a little longer. If no, what places could you imagine to live? Back to the roots (The States, that is?) - Love reading your blog and I wish you could answer the question!

Well I just found your website when I was looking for maternity clothes and baby stuff websites in Germany :). Oliver is a really cute baby.
So now that I am reading about baby stuff (we are expecting our first baby :), I have read a bit about the vaccine debate in the US , so I was wondering if there is anything like that here (since I have just started my German classes I can not read the German websites yet).
Maybe I should have post this in the baby post :P. Many thanks!
