Regenburg Expat Meetup - March 30

The next Regensburg Expat Dinner will be on Sunday, March 30th, starting at 5pm at Fürstliches Brauhausin Regensburg (Waffnergasse 6 – 8,  here’s a map).  This is in the Altstadt, at the schloss.  I am going to propose that we wait till 6pm to order dinner, and just have drinks for the first hour.  This will perhaps allow us to be a little more mobile.

PS: This event isn’t limited to foreigners, anyone wanting to hang out with us for an evening is welcome.  Please feel free to forward this info to anyone you know who might be interested.

Quick survey results:

  • There have been 18 respondents so far, 67% prefer the current meeting time, Sunday at 5pm.  Sunday at 6pm and 7pm, and Saturday at 7pm were the runners up, garnering 33% of the votes.
  • Everyone was interested in an occasional brunch meetup, so maybe we’ll do that for April.
  • 56% of respondents were interested in a professionally guided tour, 3 of you preferred one of us to do it.  I don’t hardly know anything about Regensburg, anyone want to volunteer?  I will work on getting some estimates for this.
  • And 56% were interested in a kid-oriented event, so we’ll definitely come up with something there.
  • In the comments,  a stand up dinner was suggested to promote mingling (any restaurant suggestions?), someone offered their garden up for a grill party (awesome!), and someone suggested a boat tour (maybe we can do Kelheim to Weltenburg this summer).

    Sarah and I are up for it! Fürstliches serves Thurn and Taxis beer, but rest assured, it’s much better there than any T&T you’ve had anywhere else, because they still make it there (other T&T products are actually bottled by Paulaner — boo!). I’ll vouch for it.

    Hey Christina - that’s so cool you are doing meet ups. I’m actually going to be near Zurich , CH that day! So I’m far away, but not really…

    How odd is that???

    so the PhotoHunt - go to tnchick.com and just sign up. The hunt has grown so large now that it’s too hard to really go around to all pages. I usually just do about 10 and move on to the next hunt. Themes are on the side and you just post once a week..
