AmiExpat’s going to Munich

…from March 9 to 13.

Rainer’s got a conference, so drop me a line if you want to meet up.  I’m game for coffee and cake, or a tour of the city, or a great ethnic restaurant, or shopping for designah duds, or… whatever (well, not swinging – see below).  I would love if someone wants to plan a München meetup while I’m there.

I completely forgot to mention it, but the weekend before last, we all headed over to Ingolstadt (nice, but probably my least favorite city I’ve been to in Bayern thus far).  On the way back, I didn’t notice the name of the town, but while passing through a village, we drove past a house proudly proclaiming itself as a Swinger’s Club.  Right out in the open.  On the main road.  Rainer was quite a bit less surprised than I.  In fact, his response was, “Well, they gotta meet each other somewhere, don’t they?”  He so wouldn’t fit in in America ;-)

And Oliver is getting his first tooth.  It’s not quite through the skin yet, but I can see and feel it.  God, it’s 7:15pm and I’m ready for bed.  But Supernatural is on in an hour.  What to do? What to do?

Cool, let’s hang out!

I’d volunteer to organize a meetup, but I don’t think I know of any good meetup locales yet… I’ll see if I can think of one.

Sorry I can’t join you! But have fun anyhow, hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer by then.

Hey there. We just got word that we are actually moving our apartment the weekend before. Still we’d love to meet-up. I have a few places to suggest:

China Jade Restaurant :: authentic Hong-Kong style Chinese, excellent food, Dim Sum and with big round tables it just feels like family.

Paulaner Bräuhaus, Kapuzinerplatz 5: great for large groups, great variety of beers, traditional essen, etc.

Rusticana, I talked about this at the last Regensburg meet-up I attended. The serve-up grilled spare-ribs with a BBQ sauce that’s delicious. The steaks looks tasty as well. The place is a bit small, we could manage a table of 8, maybe?

I’ve got more..oh, definitely stop at Bar Centrale on Ledererstrasse 22 (city center near the Hofbraühaus) for excellent hot chocolate.

This is why I use Slingbox- I can go to sleep with the girls and wake up and watch Supernatural the next day! In fact, I still have last weeks to watch.
Wish I could join you- it seems like you have a great group of expats to meet with.

@Jul: Well, we’ll get a meetup going somehow and then you can meet the local expats!

@geoffry: Are you guys not having beautiful weather in Köln? We’ve been sunny and in the 60’s down here (except today).

@hezamarie: Those all sound great!

@G: I don’t think we’ve got enough bandwith for a Slingbox to work. I might look into it though.
