It would have been great to meet everyone at the expat get together in January – but we were a week too late. However, we LOVED Regensburg (and took the advice for bratwrst at Wurstkuchl – yum)! My husband and I came back to the States and are going on with the next level of transferring – the HR discussion. We’l see what happens – and who knows, maybe we’ll meet up at another expat dinner in the future. By the way Christina, I love reading your blogs!

@ann: How long are you in Regensburg for? Unfortunately, I’m booked pretty solid for the next few days.

@maria: Many of us live around Regensburg. I haven’t heard of Lucindamarkt though… If you make it back here, you need to tell us and maybe we can meet up for coffee or something!

Hey, this may be unrelated – but I am so surprized. I mean, I was in Regensburg on the 15 of December this year… Incredible. I never realized that was where you guys met. All I remember food-wise is the Lucindamarkt tho. ))

Thank you so much for the information!! My husband and I fly in to Munich on Wednesday and will make our way to Regensburg Thursday, January 17. If there is an expat from the states that is available either location to talk over coffee, I would appreciate it. Enjoy the dinner outing on the 13th! Again, thank you for your help in regards to schools.

Hi Ann, unfortunately, I don't know anything about international schools here, but I think there aren't any. Try contacting B. over at Eurotrippen. I know she considered moving here and looked into schools. Or maybe some of my other Regensburg-area readers can help? As for sites, I only know of the official Regensburg site.

Wish my husband and I could be there for the dinner. We are Chicagoans arriving the following week to visit Regensburg – considering moving there with our two young daughters. Do you have a suggested site or info on international (American) schools in the area? I’d love to learn more about life is like living as an expat in Regensburg and have questions if anyone is willing to share. THANKS!
