A passel o’ new friends

I think it’s fair to say that last night’s Regensburg expat dinner was a roaring success. The evening went from 5pm-10pm, and included laughter and a few tears, good conversation and discussions of gall bladder removal, and the making of some great new friends.

There was Deborah and Luca (Deborah is going to teach me how to knit); the always hilarious, even when slightly jaundiced, Cliff with the lovely and also funny Sarah; Rainer, Oliver, and I; the boisterous Andrea, with Alex, and their adorable son Benjamin; Germany newbie Chrysten and her soon to be Mann Georg; and the beautiful and sweet Hezamarie and former fellow Rostocker Alex, who made the trip up from München!

So what do you guys think, December 1st, same time, same place? (or we can do it another day or later in the evening, or at another local – we can check out a new place every month!) Thoughts???

Okay, how bout this? Next Regensburg expat meetup is “Thanksgiving” dinner, Saturday, November 24th, at our place?

Thanks so much for arranging the evening, Christina! Cliff and I had a really nice time and would love to do it again. You know, once his organs are more cooperative.

Can we do it at the end of this month? I leave for my yoga training on December 1! I’d hate to miss a second gathering.

@sarah: Yeah, good luck with that whole organ removal thing.

@tammy b: How’s my new suggestion?

Thanksgiving dinner? Yum! Count me in!

In spirit, that is.

I have to work that Saturday and the two following ones too.

Sigh.

I can’t wait for T-day. It’s going to be crazy. There are 24 people coming!!!

I think I’m going to try a few new recipes too. And I’m thinking of making a Thai inspired stuffing. Hmmm… will that go?
