I think I’m dying. I had a fever of 38,9 last night (102F), which has only dropped slightly this morning to 38,6. We had to call the emergency doc to come over last night because that’s a bit high for the baby. Then after he left I had a little vomitfest. I have a feeling this could stop me from being at Jen’s upcoming Girl’s Weekend, which I was really looking forward to. But maybe I will make a speedy recovery – one can only hope.

Hope you get well soon. There’s been a bit of that flu around our way, but touch wood we have all managed to avoid contracting it so far

Oh, so sorry you had to be sick on your birthday! Happy Belated Birthday anyway (you share a birthday with my youngest). And here’s hoping you’ll be able to make it to Jen’s. We’ll all send you healing vibes right now.
Strange, I actually posted this this morning (12th), but now see that it showed up as made on the 11th. Anyways, I fixed it and the 12th’s my b-day. Thanks for all the well wishes. I really hope I can make it this weekend!
Oh, and apparently the flu is going around in the village here. The emergency doc from Regensburg said it was the 3rd trip he had to make out to Laaber yesterday.
oh, you poor thing. you and rainer get well soon! drink lots of efficient german herbal tea. maybe it does help after all.

I have been drinking lots of tea (green though, not chamomile) and LOVE it that Germany has doctors who make home visits – it’s so wonderful when you feel too sick to get out of bed but not sick enough to go to the hospital. And the doctor was really nice – always a plus.
