Do watch Kind Hearts and Coronets – superb film.
The Thin Red Line is one of my faves. It’s a WWII flick though.
aah, you too haven’t been exposed to chaplin-movies. i’d recommend Goldrush just to get in the mood.
@b: I’ll keep an eye out for it. Never heard of it before.
@grafs: That’s a pretty good movie, but my favorite war film is Platoon. I think my grandfather was in the battle depicted in Thin Red Line though.
@rita: I dunno about Chaplin, I’ve never managed to get into slapstick or silent films. My dad used to watch Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy (Dick und Doof in Germany, I think) on Sunday morning tv when I was a kid and I just found them to be a complete turnoff. But maybe with age comes understanding, you never know…
