I’m a busy little bee

Things are crazy over here! I spent yesterday making curry turnovers for the party and today I will be working on spring rolls. We ordered the ham and turkey this morning – we ended up ordering a fresh turkey because the frozen only go up to 6 kg – plus I don’t think we’d have time to thaw out a frozen one. Why’s that? Because this weekend we’ll be in Bonn for the Whiney Expat Blogger Meetup (there’s still time for you to join us), we will attempt to paint the entire apartment in Regensburg on Monday, and on Tuesday I have a job interview at the University (my hope is that I’ll get to be the statistician for a big AIDS vaccine trial that they are running – Wish me luck!) and Rainer has to attend a ceremony to become a professor. He thinks he might have to swear on the Bayern state constitution. I’ll take pictures if this is the case. There is also a Berlin Stammtisch Thursday night, so yeah, it does not appear that the craziness will cease anytime soon!

I also recently discovered Wil Wheaton’s blog. Yes, the guy from Stand by Me who also played Wesley Crusher on ST:TNG. Anyways, he’s hilarious and a good writer, so check out the blog. He is also writing great ST:TNG recaps for TVSquad.com. If I ever get access to my Blogger template again, I will add the links on my sidebar, but don’t hold your breath.

It seems I have quite the fan base among Max Planck Institute employees, with readers from at least six different institutes! That’s cool that my thoughts still appeal to scientifically minded folks. I guess I haven’t been too adversely affected by my stint as a Hausfrau.

But now I need to go chop some cabbage. Later!

Woo hoo! Meet-Up time!

Sorry that I won’t be able to discuss physics or any of that smart-person stuff with you.
