New Blog Stuff

As you might have noticed, I’m working on adding categories to the blog using a combination of Freshtags and del.icio.us. I’ve found that tagging old pages is a slow, painful process, but in the end it should be worth it. Anyways, the category system is not yet fully functional, I’ll let you know when I get it working or if I decide to give it up (my experiment of using Technorati tags lasted less than a week afterall).

Update: Well, it’s all set, you just click on a category and the relevant post titles will show up below. Enjoy!

    Herzlich Willkommen!

    Magst du FreshTags?

Check out this article – it might help you with retro-fitting your tags.

Also, be sure to let us know if you’d like to be added to the blogroll.

    Tschuess!

    -Greg.

Thanks for the info, Greg. I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve used them a little while. And nevermind what I think, do any of my readers have any opinions of them?

It is a nice idea with the tags, but I notice that loading your blog now takes a lot longer because your tags are sending cookies to web admins all over the world. Don’t know if this is what you want…

Hmmm… that sucks. Well, I will give it a week and see what I think then.

Greg? You still around? Any thoughts on the slower loading issue? Is there a way to minimize this (less tags, etc)?
