The end of Hanse Sail

Sadly, I say goodbye to Hanse Sail 2004. It was a wonderful time, I walked a lot, and I probably gained back all the weight I lost on the South Beach Diet (I’ll have to discuss that in some future post). Next year I definitely want to sail on one of the tall ships.

There was a nice fireworks display last night (although not as nice as the time I spent the 4th of July on the mall, but the trip home was definitely better this time round). Yesterday evening it was really too crowded to be pleasant, but this morning was great.

I got a portrait made by a Chinese guy at the Sail yesterday. It’s a skinny me, so of course I like it.

Things I learned this weekend:
Chili poppers + Thuringer Bratwurst + mini-donuts = bad heartburn
Krakauer (a sausage) + French fries + coke + ice cream = bad tummy ache

It will be a relief to have a non-fried dough smelling apartment again. It is very difficult to eat healthy when you can smell junk food that is only one block away.
